Isari Namiki (
She is the director of Keio University Hospital and Kyosuke's wife. In Tokyo Underworld was an executioner known as Izanami-no-Mikoto (伊邪那美命, Izanami no Mikoto?).
Etymology[]
- Isari's surname Namiki means "row/rival/equal" (並) (nami) and "tree/wood" (木) (ki).
Appearance[]
Isari is of average height, being shorter than Kyosuke. She usually wears glasses. She wears her hair up in a ponytail. She is usually seen wearing a doctor's coat, formal skirt and heels.
According to Kyosuke's memories, Isari is identical to her mother.[1]
As an executioner, Isari is in a caterpillar, in this state Isari is covered by the caterpillar, showing only her head which has a mask with the president tower's logo on it. In her true executioner form, Isari obtains the body of a human having butterfly wings, long hair and a maid's dress while retaining the mask with the president tower's logo on it.
Personality[]
Isari is a strict person with her assistants giving them jobs at any time without rest, however she has shown to care about the people she considers important in her life, this personality has also been applied with her patients like Yami and Yomi.
Background[]
At an unknown time, Isari would become director of Keio University Hospital.
Some time later, Kasuga would practice her in the hospital with Isari as a teacher. She Isari would teach him everything that is done in the hospital, being hard on him since she did not let him rest. Some time later, Isari had twins as patients who had a rare case of physical synchronization. At first Isari would refuse since she does not believe in supernatural cases, however she agreed to treat them personally. Kasuga, who saw the situation, decided to help her investigate the case.
They both decide to investigate and gather information during their free time, during one of her meetings Kyosuke mentions to Isari about the existence of Tokyo Underworld to which Isari mentions that she should not believe in rumors. Some time later, Isari would have a car accident leaving her quadriplegic but she decides to continue with the investigation. During Kyosuke's visits he saw that Isari was investigating the Tokyo Underworld although he would think it was curiosity until one day Isari tells him that she wants him to murdered her. Kyosuke would agree after seeing that Isari's brain was gradually weakening, so Kyosuke would kill her by sending them to Tokyo Underworld.
In Tokyo Underworld, she would become the executioner Izanami no Mikoto while in a caterpillar.
Abilities[]
As Izanami no Mikoto, Isari has the ability to heal minor or serious wounds.
Protective Barrier[]
Isari creates a healing barrier in which the patient can heal. This barrier protects the patient so it cannot be destroyed.
Relationships[]
- Kyosuke Izanagi: Isari would meet Kyosuke during Kyosuke's internship at Keio Hospital. At first Kyosuke would confuse her with her mother since she was the one who operated on Kyosuke in an accident years ago. From that moment on, she Isari was Keisuke's teacher during his stay in the hospital. After Isari took care of Yomi and Yami's synchronization, she and Kyosuke would spend more time together investigating the cause of the synchronization. From that moment on, Isari and Kyosuke would begin to get along well and even develop romantic feelings for each other. According to Joan's master, Isari is Kyosuke's wife.[2]
